The towns of Lymington and New Milton are both approximately 3 miles away, with the larger shopping centres of Bournemouth and Southampton approximately equi-distant, about 18 miles away. Rail Stations at New Milton and Brockenhurst provide a fast service to London Waterloo, with Bournemouth and Southampton airports easily accessed for domestic and international flights.

What to do nearby

With such a sense of community, Milford on Sea holds an annual May Day festival on the village green and in mid-summer the Music and Arts Festival takes place.  

There are a range of weekly Farmers Markets to explore in and around the area.

For walkers and history lovers, Hurst Castle is situated at the seaward end of the shingle spit that extends 1.5 miles from Milford on Sea. The end of the spit, only three-quarters of a mile from the Isle of Wight, and the views from the top of the centre keep are said to be spectacular. 

Nearby is the New Forest National park to explore either by foot or by bicycle.  

If you fancy some time on the waves you can do it at a variety of places. If you want to keep your feet dry, watching the wind surfers, sailing yachts go by is always an option too!

The village green itself is surrounded by great cafes, local independent shops, a butchers as well as quaint wine bars and restaurants.

Just a few minutes walk away is the extensive beach that runs both south to the renowned Hurst Castle.

A well loved village by the local community and always bustling, you'll have a choice of amenities on your doorstep such as Hollands supermarket, a grocer, excellent butcher, two pharmacies, various independent shops, pubs and a microbrewery!

Milford on Sea is served by the Wilts and Dorset X1 service from Bournemouth to Lymington. From Milford on Sea, New Milton, Lymington and Brockenhurst train stations are all in easy reach.
