Wellness Wednesday

 Posted Wednesday, 08 April 2020

With many of us currently hunkered down at home, and without access to our usual gyms, workout studios and even parks we've put together some of the top online fitness portals we’ve discovered to keep us motivated and healthy during this time and best of all… they’re FREE!

Centr.com

This app puts the world's best trainers, chefs and well-being experts in the palm of your hand and it's all tailored to you; your goal, fitness level and diet preferences. It's your PT, dietician, chef and wellness coach all in one- this is our favourite! Founded by Chris Hemsworth, you can work out with world-class trainers from the comfort of your own home. Currently offering a 7-day free trial.

My Fitness Pal

This handy app on your smartphone allows you to record both what you eat and your exercise. You can record exercise like running and cycling, but also strength exercise (eg, weight training) and workout routines (eg, core training, kettlebells). Available to download for free, you can take control of your goals whatever they may be; tracking calories, breaking down ingredients, and logging fitness activities all in one app.

Down Dog

With Down Dog you get a brand new yoga practice every time you come to your mat. Unlike following pre-recorded videos, Down Dog won't make you do the same workout over and over again.  This Yoga app is offering free access until 1st May and 1st July for healthcare professionals, students and teachers - Namaste!
